After Liam, Apple introduced powerful iPhone recycler robot ‘Daisy’ which separates iPhone just in 18 secs, Daisy recovered 1Kg of Gold and 7.5kg of silver from old iPhones.
On earth’s day, Apple introduced its new iPhone Recycler Robot Daisy which is smaller, smarter and more powerful than predecessor Liam. After 2 years of Apple’s first iPhone recycler Liam, apple reveled daisy.
Daisy is more powerful than Liam, which results disassemble of iPhone in just 18 sec with more accuracy and assembles more number of iPhones than Liam. Daisy separates 200 iPhones per hour.
Daisy first will be worked and deploy in the US and Europe to disassemble iPhone models iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus devices which customers submitted in apple service center or Apples GiveBack program. Daisy will help Apple to reuse apple’s old iPhone components and recycle electronics, gold, silver used in old iPhones to save the cost of manufacturing and e-waste.
Daisy is more focused on an important material used in iPhones such as motherboards, speakers, receivers, iphone’s taptic engine. Daisy is also designed to target components with rare-earth elements such as neodymium, praseodymium, and dysprosium found in magnets, the haptics engine, and speakers.
