Intel Core i9 Extreme along with Code War: New era of Processors
Semiconductors giant Intel unveils Intel core i9 extreme earlier this week at Computex, Intel i9 is capable of executing 36 concurrent threads with extreme power of 18 cores.
Intel core i9 is not built for cheaper PC or notebooks, this high performance processor is mainly intended for heavy duty and high processing capacity machines. Intel announces prices for this beasts Intel will also offer a 16-core / 32-thread Core i9 for $1,700 and a 10-core / 20-thread version for $999.
Intel unveiled at Computex its latest processor family including its new 4 to 18-core X-series, and new X299 Motherboard, along with this New Compute card for integrating devices/Peripherals from third parties and the 30% improvement in their performance and this upgrade assume to take place in intel’s 8th generation “Cannon Lake processors”.
Intel is now dropping prizes for its high end desktop processor and unveils new heavy performance processors to challenge AMD’s Ryzen processor, Intel also focusing on limit the damage potential of AMD’s high-end Threadripper processors.
Intel’s Core i9 Extreme Edition CPU is an 18-core beast
Intel is now making his way in the world of mega tasking, this processors are bit expensive for home users but will perform large tasks concurrently. Intel also launched its variant of Core i9 extreme processors in 10, 12, 14, and 16 cores variants. The 10 core i9-7900X will retail for $999.
Intel i9 chips base clock speeds of 3.3GHz, and it will reach up to 4.3GHz dual core speeds along with turbo boost 2.0 and 4.5GHz with turbo boost 3.0. Performance is also increased with new extreme edition chips to increase both single and dual-core speeds.
More cores means more heating issues, but to overcome this issues intel developed its own liquid cooling solutions for its systems, and this new technology works along with this new processors. All of the new Core i9 processors, along with the 6- and 8-core i7 chips, feature scorching hot 140W thermal design points (TDPs), the maximum amount of power that they consume.
Day by day, year by year Intel is improving its processor line. Intel also provided great performance for notebooks and portable computers along with great power efficiency and high computing power.
